Privacy Policy

Neighbors Paid (neighborspaid.com) is a static reference site. It has no accounts, no logins and no forms. There is nothing here for you to submit, so there is almost nothing for us to collect.

What we collect directly

Nothing that identifies you. We do not ask for your name, email address, location or any other personal detail, and there is no field on this site in which to enter one.

Our web server keeps standard access logs: the requested page, the time, the referring page, your browser's user-agent string and the IP address the request arrived from. These are used to keep the site running and to understand which pages are read. They are not linked to any identity and are rotated automatically.

Third parties that receive data when you visit

ServiceWhyWhat it receives
CloudflareServes and protects the site Your IP address and request details, as any network provider must
Google AdSensePays for the site through advertising May set cookies and use them to select and measure ads
Google FontsTwo typefaces used across the site Your IP address when the font files are fetched

Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by its own advertising policies. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings. Blocking cookies in your browser does not stop you reading anything here.

Cookies

The site itself sets no cookies. It stores nothing in your browser and needs no consent banner to function. Any cookie you encounter here comes from Google's advertising, described above.

The data the site publishes

The figures on this site come from building permits published by US city governments as public records. They describe construction work, not the people who commissioned it. We publish aggregates — medians, percentiles and counts — and never an address, an owner name or an individual permit. Read the methodology for how that is done.

Our use of the Pinterest API

We publish our own charts to our own Pinterest account through the Pinterest API. That access reads and writes only boards and Pins belonging to us. We do not request, receive, store or process data belonging to any other Pinterest user, and the API is never used to collect information about people who visit this site.

Your rights

Because we hold no account data, there is no profile to export or delete. If you believe a server log entry relating to you should be removed, or you have any other question about this policy, write to [email protected] and we will respond.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, because we do not have your address.
